Hordes Of Hunger

Responsibilities:

  • creating level blockouts, from rough idea to finished, playable state
  • establishing level metrics that apply to all levels throughout the game
  • coordinated strike team of 6 people, that are working on maps
  • designing, planning, and prototyping player objectives on the levels
  • effectively bridging art and code, by providing all necessary tools and prototypes to predict what assets are required
  • meticulously placing necessary volumes and colliders, so the player’s experience remains unbroken

This is my first commercial project as a level designer, yet the Hyperstrange team trusted me enough to let me coordinate a strike team, establish level metrics, and designed almost each arena from scratch. I want to thank Łukasz Szybałdin, our creative director, who hired me, introduced me to the project, shared his level design knowledge, and has always been helpful when I was in need.
